Ebooks for May pre-order: The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest

One I am really looking forward to this month is Stiegg Larrson's The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest - the last book in his Millenium Series. This is available for pre-order on the Kindle at the price of $9.99.

I don't often pay much for my ebooks - I have around 100 on my to be read list, most under $4 or free. However, there are some I look forward to so much that I'll happily pay a higher price. This is one of them! If you haven't read the first 2 in the series, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Played With Fire, what are you waiting for? You still have a week to download and get reading! I'll be re-reading the latter for sure if I don't have time for both.

Set in Sweden, the books follow a very unconventional Lisbeth Salander and journalist Mikael Blomkvist in what are fairly unconventional crime stories. The first two both start a little slowly - bogged down in a lot of detail. But don't let that put you off - the rest of each book is excellent and I cannot wait until the third is released in US next week!

Will there be a forth? It's not impossible. Despite the three books being the only completed ones prior to his death in 2004, Larrson was apparently more than half way through a fourth when he passed away. His lifelong partner, Eva Gabrielsson, is rumored to be considering completing the work, but controversy concerning legal rights and Swedish inheritance laws may put that possibility far into the future.
