Kindle lending rules
- Not all books are lendable -- it is up to the publisher or rights holder to determine which titles are eligible for lending. In other words, don't blame the seller Amazon if a book doesn't have this feature enabled.
- The borrower does not need to own a Kindle -- Kindle books can also be read using our free Kindle reading applications for PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone, BlackBerry, and Android devices.
- Eligible Kindle books can be loaned once for a period of 14 days, and the loan period starts when the borrower downloads it.
- Just like a regular book, if you lend a book to a friend, you won't have access to it and cannot read it during that time.
- You can only lend a book one time.
