Kindle Tip: Read While Your Book Ships

I am not sure if I will ever use this feature, unless I was sharing a physical book with someone in my family who prefers paper. But you might like it, and it was included in the recent round of updates so I am sharing the news with you!

Read While Your Book Ships

You can now start reading a sample of the beginning of your physical book purchase on select Kindle devices and reading apps.

    Kindle Fire HDX 8.9"
    Kindle Fire HDX
    Kindle Fire HD 2nd Generation
    Kindle Paperwhite 2nd Generation
    Kindle for Android
    Kindle for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch
    Kindle Cloud Reader
    Fire phone

This feature is available for select titles.

To read your sample:

    After you purchase a new, physical book from Amazon, select Start Reading on the Thank You page. This opens the sample in Kindle Cloud Reader and saves it in your account.
    After you select Start Reading, the sample will appear in the Cloud tab of your Kindle device or reading application.
