I never could have believed that I'd love ebooks as much as I do. Reading ebooks is as enjoyable as regular DTB (dead tree books) but with the added benefit of search features, multiple bookmarking, dictionary features, annotation features. And the best - being able to download books wherever I am, carry a whole library in my purse and sometimes, listen as I drive.
And there are literally tens of thousands of free classics available, books like Treasure Island, Sherlock Holmes, Pride and Prejudice that are in the public domain and now available free in ebook format. Not to mention author promos! Amazon has over 20,000 free ebooks right now.
I've tried a couple of ways to read ebooks, and personally my favorite is the Kindle

No software needed
There are authors out there with free or low priced pdf versions of their books that don't need any special software. Just read them on your computer or laptop.
